Our opening hours will also be changing to Thursday–Sunday:

Thursday–Friday: 12–6pm

Saturday–Sunday: 12–5pm

Wednesdays will be available by appointment.

We are currently not taking any exhibition for the remainder of 2026. Exhibition dates for 2027 will be open from August 2026.

YOUR EXHIBITION

The below rates and details are for July - December 2026

  • The gallery front window is located on the ground level on Sydney Road, one of Melbourne’s busiest streets for foot traffic. Your work is sure to be seen.
  • The gallery is an open space with beautiful timber floor boards, high 3.7m ceilings and white washed walls. We have toilet facilities and a small stockroom which we can store your work for 3 weeks post exhibition. 
  • Exhibitions runs over 3 weeks: Installation on Tuesday, exhibition opening on Thursday, opening night on Friday Night 6pm-8pm and De-install on Sunday. 
  • Opening exhibition includes complimentary Non alcoholic beverages and Charcuterie Board.
  • Alcohol is available for purchase for guests on the opening night and complimentary for artists exhibiting.
  • We purchase wine from ReWine in Brunswick East, Melbournes sustainable wine merchant, utilising refillable wine bottles to reduce waste.
  • Gallery invigilator 4 days a week (Thursday - Friday 12-6pm and Saturday - Sunday 12-5pm).
  • Gallery lighting with colour temperature.
  • Social media marketing campaign. E newsletter, social media posts and artist interview optional.
  • A3 Window poster with your Artist name and exhibition dates.
  • Catalogue available online throughout exhibition and 3 weeks post exhibition.
  • Artwork can be stored in house for 3 weeks post exhibition.
  • Option to have your work framed in-house at a discounted rate.

 

FLOORPLAN AND PRICES

The below rates and details are for July - December 2026

  • The rate for concurrent exhibitions featuring two artists, with a wall each is $1400 +GST per artist. 
  • The total rate for group shows is the same as for a solo show (+GST) and divided among all participating artists. 
  • The rate for a solo exhibition for the whole gallery is $2800 +GST
  • Both sides are 13.4m long with a 1.6m street front window space and 3.8 m back wall.  
  • There are five plinths available:
    1. 40 x 42 x 91cm
    2. 40 x 41 x 91cm
    3. 40 x 41 x 91cm
    4. 40 x 41 x 91cm
    5. 45 x 47 x 101cm
  • There are two movable walls 1.2m × 2.4m high.
  • The gallery uses a rail hanging system with options for 4kg hooks and 20kg hooks.
  • Screws, or nails are not allowed to be used on our walls. The walls are plaster covering brick. We are unable to accurately drill into the wall and know that it stable/secure due to brick-and-mortar placement. Screws and nails can be used on the movable walls.
  • There is a back entrance and private driveway available for install and de-install. Alternatively, there is parking on Sydney Road, outside the Gallery.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  • An artists agreement will be signed by both parties.
  • Exhibitors must have an ABN.
  • Our exhibitions span over two weeks, and we take a 30% commission on any works sold (July-December 2026).
  • 15% discount off hanging fee for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists

HOW TO APPLY

Please send an email to admin@harlowgallery.com.au with the following information:

  • An overview of your proposed exhibition, including details of the artworks and how you intend to use the gallery space.
  • Include 5-10 images that are labelled in JPG format. If you share access to a google drive, please ensure the sharing is "open to anyone".
  • Please specify when you would like to exhibit your work.
  • Provide links to your website, social media or Curriculum Vitae if available.
